Main Idea

In collaboration with Push Worcester and Woo Skates, youth participants experiment with paint, spray paint, markers, stickers, collage, and more to design their own skateboards and roller skates, showcase them to their community, and learn to skate with older peers. This program provides space for young girls, women, and nonbinary folx to creatively and positively express their identities while developing new skills and passions; by focusing this event specifically for girls, women, and non-binary folx, Main IDEA will be providing much-needed female representation in a predominantly male-oriented environment, thus empowering and encouraging young people to express their creativity and learn to skate among other peers.
